Last week, I was browsing my local market and I found some gorgeous ruby-hued organic cranberries, on sale. They looked gorgeous, so I had to buy them. The first thing I made were my oh-so-scary but oh-so-delicious muffins. But I still had half a container left. What to do? I decided on my favorite way to use up extra fruit lying around: a smoothie. Not just any smoothie a cranberry-apple smoothie, using some delicious homemade apple cider I had leftover from a personal chef job.
I just started combining things in the blender until I came up with this tart, sweet, juicy concoction that is tasty, filling and full of fruity nutrition. Perfect for this mild winter weather we’ve been having.
Cran-Apple Smoothie
Serves 1
1 extra-small (or 1/2 regular/large-sized) banana
1/4 cup fresh cranberries
1/2 cup apple cider
1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice (sun-warrior or hemp are my faves)
splash of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp apple pie spices
2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
pinch of stevia,tt
Blend all in a high-speed blender, pour into a glass and serve!
What is your favorite way to use fun market fruit finds? Salads, Smoothies, Baked goods? Smoothie is always first for me, but I also love baking with fruit!

I love smoothies! I’ve never added apple to mine before, but seriously love that you did and paired it with cranberries
This looks delicious! PS: I have a giveaway going on that I think you’ll be in to!
