…before detoxing! I kept saying to myself, “I need a detox. I need a change” as I am overworked and underslept (all my own fault, of course) and feeling sluggish and definitely not my optimal, peppy self lately. So when I mentioned it at work, I was reminded that Meghan knew of a fab one coming up on Monday- her Fab Uplift Detox! Perfect timing, no? So I jumped on board, right then and there. Who is with me, and what does that have to do with French toast?
Well I always like to have something a little special before embarking on a detox, like a sayonara to sugar, flour and all that jazz- but I am definitely not a fan of the all-out-bingefest that many of us partake in before declaring a cleanse or a diet (ugh…dirty word)- NOT that the two are the same, in the least- but I know you know what I’m talking about.
Monday starts the pre-cleanse, in which for four days each day we eliminate one big toxic offender in our diet (think all things that come from creatures who Moo, and the like), including all the basics which should be gone anyway (ahem…sugar…ahem) and then on Friday, start the full-on 8 day cleanse to clear out our bodies and do a little Spring Cleaning from the inside-out. I am getting more and more excited as it gets closer- another sign I need it so.
So for all of you who are joining me this weekend at the Fab Detox class (the detox is SOLD OUT but there is still a spot or two in the CLASS!) and starting the cleanse this Monday, let’s have a slice or two of healthy French toast (whole grain bread, please) with some of my favorite berry coulis and get excited about doing something good for our health!
