The Future

Lately I have been thinking a lot about the future, and the future of this blog. I have been blogging for over four years now, and over the years it has gradually progressed to what it is now; a food blog focused on natural, whole foods recipes and cooking. I enjoy having a food blog and I can’t see myself without blogging- or the blogging community- in my life. But more and more I am feeling less inspired and more forced to throw content at my readers. Over the last couple of months I have been unable to blog as much as I felt like I should have- but I also found when I did get a chance to create a recipe or put up a new post, it was inspired and out of love and passion for what I made- not just content. I want to get back to that feeling. Loving what I am doing, creating and writing from the heart.

I have realized, over the years, in order to do my best work in the world I need to be guided by passion. Lately I am realizing my passions span much further than just the food I put on a plate- for myself and for my clients. Food is my utmost passion, I enjoy shopping for it, creating recipes and cooking wholeheartedly. It is also my profession. There is nothing I love more than inspiring others to live a healthier, more fulfilled lifestyle. I have learned, however, that living a healthy lifestyle is much, much more than just the food- and this is what I am eager to share with you.

For a long time I half-heartedly wrote posts because I thought it was what my readers wanted. But now I know this blog is my space. It is not only for my readers, but for me, too. If I write about the things I know and love, my readers will appreciate it. I may lose a few along the way, and that’s ok- that’s life. This blog, like myself, is on a continuing journey. My interests span farther than just food- and I feel compelled to share these aspects of living a whole life with you, too. In the next few months you will likely see a shift in the blog as I re-align blog content with my own values and philosophies of living a passionate holistic lifestyle. It will be a gradual change- simplifying and re-focusing, and hopefully the process will allow for a much improved, more in-depth Cook Bake Nibble, fulfilling my tagline that healthy living is delicious.

As always, I thank you all for joining me in my holistic living journey on Cook Bake Nibble.
